Chocolate truffle

Chocolate balls are delicious and indulgent treats which are made with different flavorful ingredients. These are the perfect fit for the small cravings for dessert. They are typically rolled into small balls and coated with different kinds of topping including rainbow, dark chocolate, white chocolate, milk chocolate, coconut and many more. Every bite is filled with the richness of chocolate.

These truffles have creamy and melt in mouth texture. These chocolate balls comes in various varieties and flavors including rum balls, peanut butter balls, mint balls, coconut balls and dry fruit balls. These are incredibly easy to make.

Here I am going to share with you the simple recipe of chocolate truffle with the few ingredients from your kitchen.

Ingredients

Dark chocolate (finely chopped) – 300 gm

Condensed milk (sweetened) – 1/2 cup

Vanilla Extract – 1tsp

Chocolate Sprinkles

Instructions

Add dark chocolate in a mixing bowl.

Take a saucepan, heat the sweetened condensed milk on low to medium flame until it just begin to simmer.

Pour the condensed milk on the finely chopped dark chocolates. Mix the condensed milk and dark chocolate properly by stirring continuously util it gives a smooth texture.

Now add vanilla extract and mix together.

Now its turn to cool the mixture, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and keep in refrigerator for about 2 hours so that it will become firm enough to handle easily.

Once the mixture gets ready, take it out from the refrigerator and use spoon to scoop out the equal portions of mixture.

Apply butter or oil on your hands and roll them to make smooth and round balls with the use of your hands .

In between if you feel that the mixture has become too soft, return it to the refrigerator to firm it up again.

After making the balls of equal size its turn to coat them up.

Take some chocolate sprinkles in a plate or bowl, roll the chocolate balls over the sprinkles from each side one by one.

Again refrigerate the balls for another 30 minutes to chill them. You can serve them chilled or at room temperature.

Now your Chocolate truffles are ready. Serve and enjoy the delicious treats.

Time required

Preparation time – 20 minutes.

Cooling time – 2 hour 30 minutes.

Total time required – 2 hour 50 minutes.

Total servings – 15-20 balls ( depending upon the size of balls)

Notes

Heat– The condensed milk should not be heated to much.

Texture -The mixture should be lumps free and the refrigerated mixture should be chilled properly  (should not be sticky).

Storage– These should be stored in air tight jars in refrigerator for around 2 weeks and in refrigerator for 6 months.

Ratio- The ratio of chocolate and ganache should be exact to get the desired consistency of the mixture.

Flavor- Do not afraid to give different flavors of your choice to these tiny treats. You can customize them by using different toppings.

Afternoon tea, morning tea or evening tea.
